REASI, Dec 11: Police today seized 78 pouches of illicit liquor from a truck and arrested driver of the vehicle as well as his accomplice.
A police party of police station Reasi, headed by SI Kunal Singh, laid a naka at Sulla and intercepted a truck JK02AE-4032. During checking, 78 pouches of J&K Excise liquor were recovered from the truck.
Police seized the liquor and arrested driver as well as his accomplice in the truck.
The accused driver was identified as Kirpal Singh of Morha Thalla, Kanthan while identity of his accomplice was ascertained as Shambu Nath of Dehran, Thakrakote.
In this regard, case FIR number 259/17 under section 48(A) excise Act has been registered against both the accused persons at police station Reasi.
The investigation of the case is going on under the supervision of Inspector Jasbir Singh SHO police station Reasi and Nikhil Gogna- DySP Hqrs Reasi.
