SAMBA, July 29: In its continuous drive, Samba Police today seized 29 liters of illicit liquor and other material used for distillation of the same at village Radwan under the jurisdiction of Ramgarh Police Station.
Police also arrested two accused persons and registered a case in this connection.
Reports said that a Police party, headed by the SHO Ramgarh, Inspector Shiv Dev Singh, under the direct supervision of SSP Samba Joginder Singh and SDPO Vijaypur S S Sambyal, conducted raid at village Radwan, Ramgarh and recovered large quantity of Desi liquor.
During raid, 29 liters of illicit liquor, nine liters of Lahan and other material used for making illicit liquor were seized from the spot. Two accused persons, namely Dev Raj and Kura Ram of Radwan, Ramgarh were arrested on the spot.
A case under Section 48 (E) Excise Act has been registered in this connection at Police Station Ramgarh for further investigation.
