REASI, Oct 2: A team of Forest Protection Force, Gamma Unit – J11, Reasi, seized 1037.62 cft of Fir timber, which was lying in the compartment 18, Chinkah Block, Thakrakote Range of Reasi Forest Division.
The Forest team was led by Masud Ahmed, Inspector Operations, under the direct supervision of Mohinder Singh, Dy Director, FPF – J11, Reasi.
The seized stuff includes three Fir trees (dry) felled of dia class 70-80, 80-90 & 90-100. Besides these, 13 nos. of freshly sawn green sleepers of Fir of dimension 27’X10″X7″ extracted from 80-90 dia class stump (green) lying on the spot were also seized.
Accused is still unknown as nobody claimed the timber and investigation is going on to trace the culprits.
