Srinagar, Oct 2: Police today said that two persons were killed while another was injured in different road accidents in Valley.
A police spokesman said a Tata mobile bearing registration number JK05D/1390 hit a lady namely Asha Begum on National Highway at Model Town in Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, resulting in her on spot death. “After completion of medico- legal formalities, the body was handed over to his family members for last rites. Police have registered a case in this regard,” the spokesman said.
The spokesman said a Ford Endeavour vehicle bearing registration JK01N/5255 hit and injure a 70 year old near Islamia College in Hawal area of Old City here. “The injured was shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. The body of the decease is lying in mortuary of SKIMS Soura for identification,” the spokesman said.
In another accident, he said, a Sumo bearing registration number JK03A/6260 hit and injure a pedestrian namely Muzaffar Ahmad Malik near TFC Line Srinagar. “The injured was shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for treatment. Police have registered cases in both the incidents,” the spokesman added.
