JAMMU, Nov 4: On the initiative of MLC Ramesh Arora, the district administration today issued notice to illegal occupant of the historic building at R S Pura, which was once Railway Station complex between Jammu-Sialkote train route.
According to Deputy Commission Jammu, Kumar Rajiv Ranjan, a notice has been issued to the occupant to vacate portion of the building under his illegal occupation within ten days. The building has already been got vacated from other occupants for declaring it as historic monument, he added.
Pertinent to mention that during the recently held District Development Board review meeting, MLC Ramesh Arora had raised the issue of illegal occupation of this building, which has been announced to be declared a historic monument.
