IIMC gets land for permanent campus in Jammu

NEW DELHI: Jammu and Kashmir Government has allotted 15 acres of land to Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) for setting up a permanent campus in Jammu.

A statement released by the institute said that the MoI/Lease deed for the land was signed in Srinagar on Tuesday.

IIMC Jammu Centre is currently offering PG Diploma in English Journalism – an intensive one year programme, wherein students are exposed to Print Journalism, TV and Radio News production which involves a combination of theory and practical classes.

As per the statement, DG IIMC K G Suresh expressed hope that the Jammu campus would emerge as a major centre of media education in the country. (AGENCIES)
