JAMMU, Aug 30: IIM Jammu hosted its second HR Conclave with the theme “HR 4.0″: Discovering the HR Landscape 2030” for having a host of enlightening discussions on the future challenges and opportunities that HR 4.0 would bring with it.
The inauguration ceremony began with lighting of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana by the students of IIM Jammu. Prof Happy, Placements Chair, gave a brief introduction to the gathering on the second HR Conclave and its stated themes and structure.
Prof B S Sahay, Director IIM Jammu, talked about the pace at which the industries are evolving and new state of the art campus. He also shared about student exchange programme, and asked the dignitaries to keep the students engaged with various activities and guide the students in the corporate world.
The next session was an address by the guest of honour Anju Jumde, Group Head-Talent Management & Leadership Development. She spoke about industry 4.0 and how it impacts one as a HR manager and individual. She also provided insights on smart supply chain, B2B optimized production, new revenue streams, and flexible workplace. . Puneet Kumar Bhatia, Client Partner & Head- Digital Practice, Pederson & Partners, delivered the keynote address. He enlightened the gathering with the insights on design and leadership of virtual dealership, smart manufacturing plant, internet of everything and 15 underlined technologies of industry 4.0.
The chief guest Dr Santhosh Phulpagar, Head TA, CG Power And Industrial Solution Limited, spoke to the students on taking ownership and gave a brief idea of why do business, the right skill sets required, commitment and competence. He also shared about how internal revolution will change in the next 20 years and quoted “Technology is the biggest equalizer”.
Further, Simin Askari, VP Corporate HR, DS Group, emphasized on Industry 4.0 and the changes it will bring in to the Industry. She also focussed on shared economy and its impacts. The session officially concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr Nakul Parameswar, Co-Chair, Placements.
