JAMMU, Aug 29: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu vibrated with energy and enthusiasm during its three-week-long Management Development Program (MDP) for SJVN Executives, which concluded with a valedictory function.
The three-week-long event hosted 18 senior-level executives of SJVN Limited. The objective of the MDP was to offer knowledge and tools to develop critical thinking and execution skills in the executives so that their potential may be effectively translated into performance. Emphasis was on developing the competencies of the Executives of SJVN to prepare and equip them for the future needs of the business.
This training was intended to make a planned intervention to level up the high-performing executives’ behavioral competence and proficiency level. The focus was on making the executives attain the desired competency level in the organization to achieve the shared vision of SJVN limited.
The discussions/sessions during the MDP were focussed around nine themes, and sixty power-packed discussion sessions were conducted to cover these nine themes, which were: Leadership, Organizational Behavior, Project Management, Financial Management, Risk Management, Legal Environment and Public Policy, Strategic Management, and Strategic Thinking, Building a Culture of Trust and Innovation.
The MDP came to a close with the valedictory session and certificate distribution. The ceremony began with an address by Prof B S Sahay, Director IIM Jammu. Prof Sahay encouraged participants by stating that “if one is passionate about what one does, one can never get tired, therefore emphasizing upon “like what you do”. He urged the executives to remain connected with the faculty of IIM Jammu for various such academic endeavors in the future.
Prof Pankaj Agarwal, Chairperson Executive Education, IIM Jammu, also shared his thoughts on the occasion and mentioned that, “this MDP marks the beginning for a long-term mutually benefitting relationship for both IIM Jammu and SJVN Limited”.
Prof Sujeet Singh, Program Co-Director, presented an overview of the entire MDP, and Prof Mamta Tripathi, Program Co-Director, delivered the vote of thanks.
