JAMMU, Mar 12: The Institute of Indian Architects (IIA) Jammu and Kashmir Chapter led by chairman Vikas Dubey, vice chairman Vishal Abrol, joint secretaries Harbinder Pal Singh and Anil Verma and treasurer Sanjiv Mahajan, commemorated the Chapter’s 3rd foundation day with a series of enriching events that brought together eminent architects of the UT along with celebrating the invaluable contributions of women to the architecture profession.
The festivities commenced with organizing an interaction with inmates of a shelter home dedicated to supporting women individuals facing distress in their lives. Members of the Institute spent quality time engaging with the inmates, fostering compassion and extending much-needed support.
The celebrations continued with a thought-provoking panel discussion and presentations on women in the profession of Architecture. The occasion was not only an opportunity to recognize their achievements but also a platform for dialogue and collaboration. The event concluded with a delightful dinner at Hotel Zone by Park, near the Railway station in Jammu, where attendees continued to celebrate the Architectural community’s accomplishments.
A Yoga session led by Pooja, a seasoned Yoga instructor, was held at Main Park, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, providing participants with a serene and rejuvenating experience, promoting physical and mental well-being.
Haryana Marble, the premier Buisness House offering a wide range of marble, tiles, and innovative sanitary fittings was the main sponsor of the event. Their gracious support played a pivotal role in making these celebratory events possible.
By combining recognition of women in architecture, community engagement, and the promotion of holistic well-being, the foundation day celebrations reflected the Institute’s commitment to fostering a vibrant and inclusive architectural community in the UT.
