JAMMU, Nov 30: Inspector General of Police (Traffic) today said that the drivers of Passenger Service Vehicles (PSVs) particularly Matadors operating in Jammu do not follow the rules of operation which is creating lot of inconvenience to the commuters.
He said in particular violations like unauthorized stops, pro-longed halt at various stops, over loading, noise pollution being caused by playing music etc are being committed by these PSVs.
The IG has informed all the concerned drivers and their managements to stop such illegal practices forthwith failing which appropriate action under rules will be taken.
He further informed them to adhere to the rules governing the field so that inconvenience being caused to the general public is prevented.
