IGP reviews security arrangements

Srinagar, May 4: The Inspector General of Police Kashmir Abdul Ghani Mir today chaired a meeting of the jurisdictional officers of Srinagar district.

The IGP impressed upon the officers to take all steps for providing optimum security particularly in view of the opening up of Darbar in the summer capital.
The IGP said that a close vigil should be kept at the anti-national elements and steps be taken to keep them under check and surveillance. He impressed upon the officers to bring an attitudinal change in their behaviour towards the general public and particularly with the complainants. He said that the complainants should be listened to and there problems and grievances be mitigated.
DIG Central Kashmir, SSP Srinagar also spoke on the occasion. In this meeting, the SHOs briefed the IGP regarding the security arrangements placed in their respective areas.
