IGP reviews security arrangements in border areas

JAMMU, Sept 17: Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu Zone, Danesh Rana reviewed security arrangements along border areas in RS Pura and Ramgarh Sectors in view of continuous ceasefire violations from across the border.
IGP visited border police posts Kullian, Chakrohi, Dewangarh, Trewa, Allah, police station Arnia and BPP’s Nandpur, Dug, Channi, Abtwal, Swankha and Chak Salaria.
He briefed the officers and manpower to remain extra vigilant to strengthen the anti infiltration grid by lying effective nakas, conducting extensive patrolling, area domination and ensuring excellent synergy with other security and intelligence agencies deployed in border area to ensure safety and security to the general public.
He also exhorted upon the SHOs, Incharge BPPs, officers and jawans to perform their duties with alertness.
Mr Rana stressed upon the jawans to serve the people with utmost dedication and also impressed upon them to be courteous to general public while performing their legitimate duties.
IGP was accompanied by SSP Samba, Joginder Singh, SP Headquarters, Jammu, Randheer Singh, SDPO RS Pura, Harjeet Singh and SHO Arnia Police Station Inspector Abid Rafiqi.
