JAMMU, Sept 17: Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Simrandeep Singh today attended the Tehsil Divas at Tehsil Office Arnia.
The camp was attended by all revenue officers of Tehsil Arnia. A large number of people including the MLA Bishnah, Kamal Arora, Sarpanchs and Panchs of various Panchayats and locals of the area attended the camp.
The issues raised by the people included poor electricity supply to border areas, crisis of irrigation faced by the farmers at tail end of the irrigation canals, reconstruction of High School Arnia, shifting of Tehsil to the old revenue complex, shifting of BDO’s office to Arnia, special provision of medicines to border areas and fast tracking the cases of compensation.
Later, the DC along with MLA and other officials toured the villages along the fencing to take stock of the irrigation facilities. The DC assured the farmers of speedy redressal of their issues.
