Jammu, Mar, 26: Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone, Rajesh Kumar after assuming his new assignment as IGP Jammu held introductory meeting with Police officers/officials of Police Control Room Jammu and reviewed functioning of different sections here today.
On his arrival the IGP Jammu was received by Deputy Inspector General of Police, JSK Range, Shakeel A.Beig, SSP PCR Jammu Vijay Kumar and a guard of honour was presented to him . This was his first visit to the Police Control Room after taking over as IGP Jammu Zone.
Speaking on the occasion, Inspector General of Police, reviewed the functioning of the different sections of the Police Control Room. He also inspected the OPS Room and CCTV Dial 100 and exhorted upon the officers that the Control Room has to remain alive to any situation round the clock.
He directed officers heading different sections of the Control Room to bring innovation and quickness in the work so that it could serve the department and people much better. The officers gave resume of the working of their respective sections. The IGP underlined a number of measures for strengthening the system at the Control Room.
