SRINAGAR: As many as 236 Head Constables (HCs) were on Wednesday promoted to the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) in the police department of Kashmir valley.
A police spokesperson said that on the directions of Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh, a Departmental Promotion Committee met under the chairmanship of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Swayam Prakash Pani, for the promotion of HCs to the rank of ASIs of Executive Wing of J&K Police, having lien and seniority with the Kashmir Zone.
”The DPC cleared promotion cases of 236 Head Constables and promoted them to the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspectors,” he said. (AGENCIES)
