JAMMU, July 28: Inspector General of police (IGP) Dilbagh Singh, today inaugurated two day long Jammu Education Fair organised by Times of India at Jhelum Resorts.
On the occasion, Prof Neelam Saraf, Dean Academics Affairs (DAA) Jammu University was the guest of honour, while, Ranjeet Kalra, Assistant Director, University of Jammu and Pradeep Dutta, Bureau Chief Times Now were the special guests.
During the fair, around twenty institutions of Higher education of North India offering various programmes have come under one roof to facilitate the students of the State.
With an idea to impart best of education to the students in the region, The Times of India Group takes an initiative to introduce the Colleges and Universities with best infrastructure, having the potential to extend scholarships to the deserving students of J&K.
Speaking on the occasion, IGP congratulated Times of India group for organizing this fair, which will be of immense help to parents, and students, to meet, interact and clarify their queries.
Prof Neelam Saraf in her address highlighted the importance of such educational fairs.
“We are living in a knowledge society and these kind of educational fairs give a variety of information to the students to make right kind of choice”, added Prof Saraf.
Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Rayat-Bahra, Surya World, Gurukul, Sri Sai University, Bells Eduction, Terii, Doaba, Jamwal Group of Institutes, Amritsar College of Engineering and Tech and many more institutes of national acclaim are participating in the fair.
