IFS officer completes Commonwealth Masters fellowship from London

JAMMU, Nov 27: Dr Arshdeep Singh, a 2012 batch Indian Forest Service Officer of J&K cadre has successfully completed the Masters degree in Environmental Planning.
The IFS officer, during this period, studied at Bartlett Development Planning Unit of University of London which is top most ranked institution in the field of Environment and Sustainable Development Planning.
Further, as part of masters programme, he successfully completed his dissertation titled ‘Indian Smart Cities Mission- Its potential for imparting socio-environmental justice’ under the guidance of Dr Rita lambert.
As part of the programme, he also received training in disaster management and techniques to tackle urban climate change, besides participating in Commonwealth scholars’ conference organized by Commonwealth Commission, UK.
Pertinently, Dr Singh had secured Commonwealth fellowship of UK Government last year after competing with candidates from 54 Commonwealth Nations.
