SAMBA, Nov 27: District police Samba has arrested five gamblers in the jurisdiction of Police Station, Vijaypur and recovered stake money of Rs 15,000 from their possession.
Acting on specific information regarding gambling, police team of PS Vijaypur raided the gambling spot in its jurisdictional area at Jakh, Vijaypur and arrested five gamblers along with stake money of Rs 15,000 with three sets of playing cards.
The gamblers have been identified as Dinesh Singh, S/o Kabala Singh of Jakh-Channi, Vijaypur, Romesh Lal, S/o Lajja Ram of Bandrali, Ramgarh, Kamal Singh S/o Rattan Singh of Trilokpur, Vijaypur, Dilawar Hussain, S/o Sher Mohammad of Dhamore-Jakh, Vijaypur, Pritam Singh S/o Shatter Singh of Channi, Vijaypur.
Taking cognizance of the matter, all the gamblers were booked under section 13 of Gambling Act at PS Vijaypur.
