JAMMU, June 28: The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), Jammu sub-center elected its new body for 2020-22.
The body was elected during annual general body meeting (online mode) of the IETE held today under the chairmanship of Prof Parveen Kumar Lehana, Head, Department of Electronics, University of Jammu. The meeting also approved the audited financial statement and activity report for 2019-20.
Dr Pawanesh Abrol, Professor, Department of Computer Science & IT, University of Jammu was unanimously elected as honorary chairman while Vijay Sharma and Dr Romilla Malla Bhat were elected as honorary secretary and honorary treasurer of IETE Jammu Centre, respectively.
Samir Sharma, AEE, PDD, J&K and MIETE who also acted as Returning Officer for the elections and Joy Ganjoo, FIETE were nominated as vice-chairmen of the centre.
The online meet was joined by Dr Sushil K Kaura, who acted as observer for the conduct of the meeting and Dr Subhash Chander Jain, both from IETE Chandigarh Centre.
Prof Rakesh Vaid, FIETE, Prof Lalit Sen Sharma, Maj Gen S K Sharma (retired), Dr Suresh Rao, Dr Radhika Khanna, Dr Jyoti Mahajan, Dr Ashok Kumar, Jamini Sharma and Rajinder Tiwari were among the prominent members who attended the meeting.
