JAMMU, Feb 6: A meeting of general body of All J&K Sadguru Kabir Sabha was held today at Bishnah to discuss general body elections of the Sabha and arrangements for the idol installation ceremony of Sant Kabir on February 13, 2022 at Kabir Bhawan, Bishnah. The issue of necessary amendments in the constitution of Sabha was also discussed as some of its provisions presently are outdated.
F.C Bhagat, Sabha president delivered welcome address and it was decided that an election committee shall be formed soon to initiate the process for fresh elections in a democratic manner.
It was decided that on February 13, a procession in the form of Jhanki carrying the statue of Kabir Sahib shall start from Bari Brahmna Chowk at 11 am to culminate at Kabir Bhawan, Chak-Avtara.
Other issues discussed in the meeting included those regarding completion of the building and starting of coaching classes at Kabir Bhawan at an earliest so as to support the deserving students who cannot afford high fees at the private institutions.
G.R Bhagat, senior vice president of Sabha; O.P Bhagat, Manohar Lal, general secretary; Tirth Ram, district president, Kabir Sabha Samba; Dr. Gurdass Bhagat, chairman Litigation Committee; Bodh Raj, Surinder Bhagat, president district Reasi, Ashwani Kumar, block president and Sunil Chagathia were also present in the meeting.
