JAMMU, June 6: J&K ICDS Supervisors’ Union has urged upon the LG of J&K to intervene personally and save their career from ruining.
Resenting issuance of final seniority list of ACDPOs/TSWOs by Social Welfare Department on June 2, the Union members said that this is grave injustice to the thousands of senior most supervisors of J&K UT.
“Government had framed Social Welfare (Gazetted) Service Recruitment Rules in year 2007 vide SRO-328 of 2007 where in the provision has been made that TSWOs and Superintendent Homes are also eligible for the post of CDPOs and ACDPOS (22 posts of ACDPOs only in J&K UT),” the members said.
The Union president Abida War, while speaking about injustice with supervisors, said that they were given not given a single chance in last 3 decades to get promoted but on the other hand, social workers appointed in 2008 were confirmed as TSWOs in 2015 and being promoted as CDPOs in the current year.
“The department is ruining the career of supervisors of ICDS wing who though are feeding cadre for the post of CDPO but were not given chance despite being senior most supervisors of batch 1988, 1989, 1991, 1992 and they are going to retire as supervisors only,” the Union president said.
The members of the Union said that they are fighting for years together to remove this injustice by amendment of JK Social Welfare Gazetted Service Recruitment Rules 2007 but authorities never pay heed to the proposals forwarded and finally the malicious intentions are open now by issuance of recent seniority list of few ACDPOs and maximum TSWOs.
The Union appealed Lt Governor GC Murmu and Principal Secretary to Government for Social Welfare Department to intervene into the matter and issue an SRO to safeguard the future of thousands of supervisors by giving a single chance in their whole service to become CDPO.
