ICccR & HRM in JU to initiate collaboration with World Trade Center

JAMMU, Sept 2: The International Centre for Cross Cultural Research and Human Resource Management (ICccR & HRM), University of Jammu, is initiating collaboration with World Trade Center, Noida for research, training and entrepreneurial initiatives in Northern India, with special reference to the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
This was stated by Khair Ull Nissa, Director, World Trade Center, Noida in an interactive session with the MBA (International Business) students here today.
During her extended session with International Business students, Ms Nissa talked about World Trade Center as a hub for services and world class infrastructure that acts as an ecosystem for different entities.
Recognizing the significance of cross cultural issues and concerns of doing business across the globe, she emphasized upon the need for convergence of business to business (B2B) processes with people to people (P2P) connects.
She acquainted the students with the broad overview of WTC and its outreach that provides global access to local networks which are looking at opportunities in global business with special emphasis on market research, market intelligence and competitive mapping, providing access to local contacts and local needs in international destinations.
Ms Nissa also shared the Project ‘startupvillage.com’ in the State of Kerala as a case, to suggest the possibilities of such like entrepreneurial initiatives in the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
Quoting the need to penetrate into the huge domestic market of India, she said that there is a need to tap the growth potential by building sustainable models like reviving trade through Silk Route.
On the occasion, she discussed the importance of global trade accelerators that comprise of 3 M’s (Money, Markets and Mentors) exemplifying it with the holistic and sustainable business models of Banaras Textiles.
Khair Ull Nissa congratulated and appreciated the proactivity of International Centre for Cross Cultural Research and Human Resource Management, University of Jammu for positioning them as a potential teaching and research centre. She also offered the students the access to WTC trade library wherein students can submit their original research manuscripts.
Earlier, Prof Neelu Rohmetra, Director ICccR & HRM, University of Jammu, expressed her gratitude towards WTC and   Khair Ull Nissa for sharing with the students the kind of opportunities that lie ahead of them. She expressed that sharing a common vision with the ICccR & HRM at Jammu University, WTC Noida will work in close association to promote various initiatives in northern India that comprise of human capital development, which in turn will give access to global enterprise, resources and mentors, and establish incubators and accelerators with Government and private interventions.
Prof Rohmetra also assured establishment of strategic tie-ups for student exchanges globally, the process for which shall begin through formally seeking ‘Memorandum of Cooperation’ between World Trade Center and Jammu University.
This interactive session was also attended by the faculty members at ICccR &HRM.
