ICAI organizes blood donation camp

JAMMU, July 1: The J&K Branch of Northern Indian Regional Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), organized a blood donation camp on the eve of Chartered Accounts Day at Government Medical College, here today.
A large number of Chartered Accountants and students of CA Course donated blood on the occasion.
To mark the Chartered Accountant’s Day celebrations, the J&K Branch has been organizing blood donation camp consecutively for last four years.
Meanwhile, a cultural programme was also organized at Jammu Club which was participated by a large number of Chartered Accountants along with their families with great enthusiasm and fervour.
John Samuel, Chief Post Master General, J&K, was the chief guest on the occasion, while Parvez Khateeb, Additional Commissioner Commercial Taxes, Jammu was the guest of honour.
On the occasion, RC Gupta Memorial Fund Award was presented to CA Arjun Dogra and CA Sandeep Singh, while Tilak Raj Malhotra Memorial Fund Award was presented to CA Dheeraj Chopra and Sudesh Sawhney Memorial Fund Award went to CA Ram Krishan and CA Varun Kumar Aggarwal.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by CA Vishal Rometra, Secretary, J&K Branch of NIRC of ICAI.
Among others present on the occasion were CAs Sudhir Wali, Karan Sethi, Deepak Kapahi, Virender Maini and Ajay Sawhney.
Later-on, CA Karan Sethi presented vote of thanks.
