LONDON, Aug 7: Actor Ian Ziering said he almost turned down the the original “Sharknado” as he thought the script was horrible.
The 53-year-old actor admitted that he took up the role of Fin Shephard to support his family as he had a child on the way, reported Digital Spy.
“I thought it (script) was horrible. There were so many holes in the story that needed to be fixed with visual effects. I couldn’t see how it could even be possible.
“I did it to provide for my family. My pregnant wife said I needed to go to work. I wanted to pass it on, honestly, I just felt like it just wasn’t worth it. But I was having a baby and that was a little slap of reality,” Ziering said.
But the TV film franchise went to become a major hit, with the fifth installment, “Sharknado 5: Global Swarming” airing yesterday. (PTI)
