REASI, June 30: Police arrested three persons including husband for killing woman in Bagarkote area, falling under the jurisdiction of Chasana police station.
As per police sources, a lady identified as Jago Devi, wife of Naseeb Singh, a resident of Bagankote received bullet injuries yesterday.
She was rushed to hospital, where he succumbed to her injuries.
Later, Sher Singh, son of Bijay Ram of Bagankote lodged a written complaint at police station Chasana stating that her niece Jago Devi has been murdered by her husband with 303 rifle. The complainant added that Rajinder Singh (brother-in-law of Jago Devi) and Locha Devi (mother-in-law) are also involved in the murder.
Acting over the complaint, three persons including husband of the deceased woman have been arrested. The weapon used to commit the murder has been seized.
During preliminary investigation, it came to fore that the weapon belongs to VDC member Jodh Singh, son of Lakhmi Chand of Bagankote, with whom Naseeb Singh resides as adopted son. Jodh Singh is working some where in Katra as labourer.
A case under FIR Number 29/16 under Section 302 and 120-B RPC has been registered at Chasana police station and further investigation into the case is going on.
