JAMMU, Nov 21: Thousands of people from Jammu and its surrounding areas paid obeisance at ancient Bhairav Temple here in Upper Bazaar, Chowk Chabutra, on the occasion of Kaal Bhairav Ashtmi.
The whole Chowk Chabutra market right from police post Panjtirthi was decorated with electric lights and flowers while the surroundings of the Temple were covered under laser lights, giving the visiting devotees a festive look.
The occasion was annual mail of about 52 biradries like Khukhuran, Mohali, Datta (Hussaini), Sudan and Sassan-Vibhoja, which is held on every year on Kaal Bhairav Asthmi. Besides members of concerned biradries, local people and traders also participated in the religious function and took the blessings of Baba Bhairav Nath.
Prasad of Baba Ji in the form of ‘Kichdi’ was served to the devotees and a bhandara was also organized on this pious occasion. In the evening, Temple priest, Pandit Rumil Sharma, started Pooja Archana in the temple and distributed Prasad to all the devotees.
