SAMBA, Oct 31: Hundreds of poultry birds were burnt alive after a poultry farm was burnt due shot circuit at village Bara area in Samba district today.
According to reports, the incident took place this afternoon due to shot circuit. When the fire broke out in poultry farm and the villagers saw the flames coming out from there they immediately informed to poultry farm owner, namely Gopal Sharma. They all rushed to the spot and tried to douse the fire. But despite their hard efforts the fire was not controlled. Later they called Fire Tender office Samba. The officials of fire brigade after receiving the information reached the spot and doused the fire. But till then hundreds of chicks were burnt in the fire.
The owner of the Poultry farm namely, Gopal Sharma said that the incident took place this afternoon when suddenly fire broke out in his poultry farm. He claimed 2500 chicks have been burnt due to fire.
The police has taken cognizance the matter and started investigation.
