H&UDD reconstitutes internal panel

JAMMU, Aug 24: Housing and Urban Development Department (H&UDD) has ordered reconstitution of an internal panel (committee) that will review the list of employees prepared for appropriate consideration of the Government under Article 226(2) of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services Regulations.
The Article 226(2) of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services Regulations empowers Government to compulsorily retire from services any Government employee who has completed 22 years of service, in the public interest. The list of such employees is prepared by the concerned Head of the Departments (HoDs).
“In terms of SO 324 dated October 22, 2020 and in suppression of all previous orders on the subject, sanction is hereby accorded to the reconstitution of internal committee with the mandate to review the list of employees prepared by concerned Head of the Departments, deemed fit under Article 226(2) of the J&K Civil Services Regulations, for recommending to the Government for appropriate consideration,” read an order issued by the H&UDD today.
As per the order, the reconstituted committee shall be chaired by Principal Secretary to the Government, H&UDD, while as Secretary in the H&UDD, and Special Secretary (Legal)/Law Officer, H&UDD, shall be the members of the news committee and Head of the Department concerned shall be the member secretary.
