HUDD orders inquiry against President MC Anantnag

‘Transfer all lower rung employees in Kashmir’

SRINAGAR, Aug 10: The Government today directed the Director Urban Local Bodies (ULB), Kashmir to initiate an inquiry against the President Municipal Council (MC) Anantnag and transfer the lower rung employees of all Municipal Institutions across the Kashmir Division.
In this regard, the Housing and Urban Development Department (HUDD) has written a letter to the Director ULB, Kashmir asking it to take the necessary action in this regard and submit a compliance report within the next 15 days.
“The General Administration Department vide their U.O. No. GADVIGS0SP/28/2021-02-GAD date 07.07.2021, inter-alia, conveyed the approval of Competent Authority as under: To initiate disciplinary action against the field staff, as recommended by the Inquiry Officer, whose names are given below: Tariq Ahmad, the then Secretary, Ab Rashid Zagoo, the then KA, presently posed in MC Frisal, Aijaz Ahmad Janti, the then KA presently posted in MC Pulwama, Nisar Ahmad Shah, the then KA presently posted in MC Frisal, Nazir Ahmad Nanda, the then Dealing Assistant presently posted SMC, Farooq Ahmad Bhat, the then Field Staff presently posed in MC, Khrew, Imtiyaz Ahmad Dar, the then Field Staff presently posted in MC Anantnag, Javaid Ahmad Lala, presently posted in MC Anantnag, Shakeel,” the letter reads.
It also stated that the GAD has also ordered to effect the transfer of the lower rung employees working in all Municipal Institutions of Kashmir Division (Ministerial as well as other wings) having a stay of more than 3 years and submit the compliance report to the GAD within 15 days in this regard.
“…To conduct an enquiry against the President MC Anantnag and fix responsibility for omissions/commissions, in terms of J&K Municipal Act, 2000,” the letter reads quoting GAD directives.
In this connection, the HUDD letter stated, you are advised to initiate an inquiry against the President, Municipal Council, Anantnag, in terms of J&K Municipal Act, 2000 and fix responsibilities for omissions/commissions against him. Further disciplinary action may be imitated against the above-mentioned field staff.
“Besides you are advised to effect the transfer of the lower rung employees working in all Municipal Institutions of Kashmir Division (Ministerial as well as other wings) having a stay of more than 03 years and submit the compliance report to the Administrative department within 15 days positively for its onward submission,” the HUDD directs.
