KATRA, Jan 16: To discuss the issues of development in Holy Town of Katra, a delegation of the members of the Holy Town Katra Stakeholders Development Forum (HTKSDF) called on Anshul Garg, CEO, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) here today.
The delegation led by Baldev Sharma, President of HTKSDF, along with the other members of Association engaged in constructive discussions with the CEO.
Speaking on the occasion, Baldev Sharma said, “We are honoured to receive positive feedback from the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board CEO. We aim to work hand in hand with all stakeholders to bring about meaningful development in Katra while preserving its spiritual and cultural essence.”
The various issues which were discussed in the meeting included, declaration of Heritage status for Katra, request for Ropeway connectivity, enhancement of Express Highways, implementation of PRASHAD SCHEME Initiatives, formation of Municipal Council, measures for Addressing Rohangiyas Deportation and the request for increasing frequency of Swaraj Express from 4 days a week to daily additionally, Vivek Express from one day week to daily and extending it to Katra will be effectively addressed in collaboration with all stakeholders and the government.
The CEO expressed appreciation for the proactive initiative taken by the HTKSDF core members and assured to address their issues on priority.
The members of delegation expressed their gratitude for the support extended by Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and reiterated their commitment to contributing to the holistic development of Katra.
Among others who were the part of delegation included advocate Kuldeep Raj Dubey, General Secretary, Sardari Lal and Sher Singh.
