HRBEF holds selection, evaluation tests for scholarship

JAMMU, Aug 24: Harbans Roshan Bhalla Educational Foundation (HRBEF) here today held selection and evaluation tests for scholarship to the students from rural areas.
Over 80 per cent of students were girls from economically weak families.
The selection tests are conducted for new selection of students from class 1 to 3 for next academic year. The selection tests will be conducted daily at Bee Enn General Complex, Talab Tillo Road from August 24, 2023 to September 10, 2023.
A handout of HRBEF stated that all the eligible children from government schools can come for the selection tests on the mentioned days between 9 am to 10 am.
HRBEF has been awarding scholarships since 1997 and the number of children helped every year has grown from 12 initially to 600 in 2023.
HRBEF aims to cover as many rural children as possible from areas like Arnia, Hiranagar, Chak, Rattian, Doomi, Gajansoo, R.S Pura, Birpur, Rehian, Jourian, Dansal, Amb Gharota, Kangrail, Gurah Slathia, Ghou Manhasan, Saruinsar, Kanachak etc. Every year over Rs. 10 lakh are distributed in the programme.
Families of financially weak girl children from 1st to 3rd classes may apply to the Foundation for scholarship. The Foundation only accepts financially weak students of Government schools.
