JAMMU, May 14: A delegation of Hardware, Paints & Sanitary Dealers Association (HPSDA) today met SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil at his office and apprised him about the problems faced by their trade fraternity.
Comprising of Neeraj Gupta (president, HPSDA), Naresh Chopra (senior vice-president), Varun Sharma (vice-president), Subash Nanda (general secretary), Vishal Bhat (treasurer) and Sanjay Pandita (publicity incharge), the delegation told the SSP that even after getting authorized permission from DC office, the shopkeepers dealing with hardware, paints and sanitary items are facing problems in smooth running of their businesses.
Regarding the permission of opening the establishments, the SSP told the delegation that only those shops having proper permission issued by the administration will be allowed to open according to the timing prescribed on the passes.
The SSP said though the administration has allowed opening of these establishments from 11 AM to 3PM but the shopkeepers have to follow the timings decided by the concerned police stations under the jurisdiction of which their establishment falls.
Regarding the transportation of goods, the SSP said that the load carrier will be allowed to operate only when it will have all legal documents including documents of material loaded. Patil told the delegation members to apprise their trade fraternity about all the guidelines of Police Department and advised them to follow the same strictly otherwise action will be taken against them and the passes issued will be cancelled.
The SSP assured all the help to the team HPSDA provided all guidelines are followed properly.
