SAMBA, May 20: The students of Humanity Public School, Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana excelled in the District Level Inter-School Athletic Meet held in Jammu by the Department of Youth Services and Sports.
12 students of HPS participated in Under-17 boys and girls and 9 students took part in Under-14 boys and girls.
In Under-14 girls category, Yasmeen Akhtar bagged first position in 100 meters sprint, Shaidu Bibi got first position in 600 meters race and Chetna Devi stood 2nd in long jump, while in Under-14 boys category, Tushar got second position in 400 meters race, Pushpinder got second position in 600 meters race and Vishu Charak stood third in 100 meters race.
In Under-17 boys category, Nitish got third position in 200 meters race and Murad stood third in high jump.
The students of the school who participated in this Athletic Meet were received in the school premises by Mr. Gaurav Charak (Principal), Anku Charak (Vice Principal) and Ajay Sharma (Sports Incharge) along with the staff members.
