HPS donates Rs 50,000 for handicapped girl

JAMMU, Mar 20: Hari Prabhu Sanstha (HPS), a Nagrota Gujru (Billawar) based NGO has donated Rs 50,000 for the fitment of Bionic limbs to a severely handicapped girl child, Khannu Devi, a resident of JRC Home for Handicapped, Udheywala Jammu.
Another cheque of Rs 25,000 was today handed over to the management of JRC Home by ID Soni on behalf of the HPS at a function held in the Home in presence of members of executive committee of Sanstha and Home.
Hari Prabhu Sanstha has already donated an equal amount for baby Khannu, who was born with only one leg and having merely upper half of both arms. JRC Home has taken the responsibility to rehabilitate Khannu and procure Germany made Bionic arms for her so that she could lead a respectable and purposeful life.
While expressing gratitude to HPS for coming forward to help Khannu, Chhatrapal, Secretary of JRC Home told that Home had already paid Rs 2.50 lakh, raised through public funding, to Unique Rehab Solutions as advance money for the fitment of both Bionic arms for Khannu.
