HPCL launches Mobile Medical Van

JAMMU, Dec 3: As a humanitarian step to provide free health care services at the door steps of the rural community in Jammu, HPCL today launched its Mobile Medical Unit at Jammu LPG Plant.
The unit was launched by HPCL under Corporate Social Responsibility.
Sonal Desai GM -CSR, HPCL, inaugurated the Mobile Medical Unit along with Manish Tandon, SRM, HPCL Jammu, Retail RO, Ajai Singh, SRM, HPCL Jammu, LPG RO, Gautam Sarkar, Plant Manager, Jammu LPG Plant and officials from HPCL and Wockhardt Foundation.
A large number of community member also joined the inauguration function.
Mobile Medical Unit is a CSR initiative to provide free medical facilities and medicine to the under privileged people who cannot otherwise afford it, by reaching out to them in their locality.
The Mobile Medical Units are operated by Wockhardt Foundation (the philanthropic arm of Wockhardt Hospitals). A well-equipped van with Doctor, paramedic, driver and community mobilizer will follow a weekly route plan covering 18 villages near Jammu LPG Plant of HPCL.
Apart from free medical facilities and medicines the MMU also focus in creating community awareness on safe health practices and life styles.
