Housewife hangs self; missing youth found dead in Mansar

UDHAMPUR, Mar 29: In two separate incidents, a young house wife was found hanging at the house of her in-laws at village Bari in Ramnagar while a missing youth was found dead in Mansar lake.
According to the police, Makhna Devi (31), wife of Joginder Singh of Bari in Ramnagar, was found hanging from ceiling fan hook at her house under mysterious circumstances. She had apparently committed suicide by hanging self.
On being informed, Police rushed to the spot and took the dead body in their custody. Later the body was shifted to Sub District Hospital in Ramnagar for the postmortem and other legal formalities. Ramnagar Police has registered the case under Section 174 of CrPC and further investigation of the case is going on.
Meanwhile, dead body of Akash Mahajan (30), son of Ved Prakash alias Tipu, resident of Chabutra Bazar Udhampur, was found this morning in Mansar lake. The body was spotted by some locals, who informed the police.
Family members of the deceased said that he was missing since March 25. Police has initiated inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC and further investigation is going on.
Meanwhile, reports from Majalta said that two Kaccha houses were damaged in accidental fire at village Sial, this evening. These houses belonged to Shmbu Dutt son of Ram Lal and Chuni Lal, son of Girdhari Lal.
All the family members timely managed to escape and there was no loss of life while the fire was controlled by the locals after hectic efforts.
