JAMMU, Oct 4: A young housewife was found dead today under mysterious circumstances at her residence in Kanachak area of city outskirts.
“The deceased was identified as Renu Bala (25) wife of Rahul Raj, resident of Simbliwala (Kanachak),” a police official said. He said some burn injuries were found on the body of the woman.
He said the body of the deceased was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, for postmortem while inquest proceeding under 174 CrPC was initiated in this connection at police station Kanachak.
“It is difficult to comment on whether it is a suicide, accidental death or murder before the postmortem report comes,” the official added.
