UDHAMPUR, June 13: A young housewife attempted suicide by hanging herself at the house of her in-laws near Pittan Barh Udhampur.
According to Police, Babli Devi (35), wife of Bodh Raj was found hanging from ceiling fan by the family members who immediately shifted her to District Hospital Udhampur in a serious condition.
However, due to hectic efforts of the doctors, her condition started improving and she was stated to be out of danger now.
Cause behind provocation could not be ascertained so far while Police has registered a case in this regard for further investigation.
Meanwhile, three persons were injured in separate road mishaps, here today.
A young girl sustained injuries when a Scooty, she was riding, skidded off the road at Hospital Road Udhampur. Locals shifted her to DH Udhampur. The injured was identified as Rubi Bandral (23), daughter of Karnail Singh of Neeli Nala.
In another road accident, two brothers were injured when their Scooty skidded off the road near Dak Banglow. The injured were identified as 21 year old Chak and Vishal, sons of Badhari Nath of village Tkali (Salmari).
