JAMMU, Mar 5: Director Horticulture Planning & Marketing Imran Din today attended a exhibition cum seminar organized by SEISHIDO Communications at World Trade Centre Mumbai on Natural Products Expo India and was among the Chief guests of this Exhibition cum conference titled “Panacea 2020”.
While delivering the lecture, the Director highlighted the potential of Horticulture sector of J&K over its advantage on other states because of its unique topograph and eco diversity which results in world famous varieties of fruits especially apple, Cherry and pear, dry fruits especially walnut, honey, saffron besides several other commodities.
The Director invited the exhibitors and participants to be a part of the upcoming Investors’ Summit in J&K going to be held later this year which will bring opportunities not only for the entrepreneurs but alwos for the unemployed youth of the country besides sharing of technical knowhow and knowledge.
The department also put up a stall exhibiting various products of J&K varying from peccanut, walnut etc from Poonch and Kashmir respectively to Rajmash and Anardana etc, from Bhaderwah and Doda respectively. General public and exporters are visiting the stall and relishing the products.
