Horse injured in mine blast

POONCH, Nov 27: A horse was injured in a mine blast at Betar Nala near Poonch today.
Official sources said that Maroof Ahmed, the horse owner said that he had gone to the Nalla side along with his horse then suddenly an explosion took place and his horse got severe injuries. It appeared that horse over stepped the mine blast which exploded with big bang. The horse in injured condition was taken to Veterinary Hospital, Poonch for treatment.
Dr Gurdeep Singh said the horse was given first aid on the spot but was shifted to hospital due to excess bleeding. “Horse got severe injuries and we are trying to control infection and save his life,” Dr Singh said.
