JAMMU, Apr 29: Honda Siel Power Products Limited launched new Honda Tiller F-300—a complete weeding solution for vegetable and horticulture farmers.
The Tiller F-300 was launched by Honda Siel Power Products (HSPP) President Y Iida, HRID CEO H Hasebe and HSPP Vice President Sales and Marketing VK Upreti.
To cater the needs of Indian farmers and a “Make in India” initiative, HSPP has launched “Honda Tiller F-300, said HSPP President Y Iida, adding that the new product is a power weeder that is used to uproot weeds in vegetable fields, sugarcane, cotton , banana, floriculture and fruit plantations/gardens.
The weeds consume nutrients from the soil resulting in poor quality of actual crops. Honda Rotary Tiller easily uproots all weeds from the fields, saving the nutrients in the soil, to be used for crops only. In addition, the de-weeding operation helps convert weeds into manure by mixing in soil. In the current high cost and scarce labour availability scenario, the new Tiller replaces the current manual operations, leading to time and economical benefits for the small farmers, HSPP President Y Iida stated.
He added that the Honda Rotary Tiller is fitted with a powerful 4 stroke, 1.5 kw advanced OHV (over head valve) GX 80 petrol driven engine. It has a Flexible Rotor (Tyne Assembly). Depending on the requirement of the farmer for various crops, the cultivating width of the tynes can be adjusted to 305 mm, 450 width making it most suitable for vegetable farming.
The specially designed tynes are made of special alloy for longer life and are the best in their class. Weeding depth can be controlled by drag a bar having 3 height adjustable options. Its well balanced design with resultant low vibration and sound ensure less stress to operators. F-300 tiller is portable weighing only 37 kilograms.
The rotary tiller handle is adjustable to take care of handling height and can be folded during transportation. The controls for clutch and accelerator are fitted on the handle with an easy reach of fingers and hands.
