Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, president, Panun Kashmir in his address said that   his organisation spearheaded the struggle of the displaced community of Kashmir all these three decades on the firm footing of the ideology of Margdarshan resolution which has three important facets. The three facets of the resolution comprise the background of the situation that necessitated the passing of the resolution, declaring that the Kashmiri Pandits shall not allow themselves to be subjugated under the servitude of the Muslim State and the historic demand of the establishment of Homeland in Kashmir with Union Territory status.
This has emerged as the only viable political solution of the issue of ethnic cleansing and forced mass exodus of the KPs in Kashmir. As the indigenous people of the Kashmir, they have an inalienable right on the land of Kashmir where the ‘temples of their gods and the ashes of their ancestors’ lie. “Our recent presentation in the Asia-Pacific Hindu Conference at Bali-Indonesia dwelt on the issue of Kashmir and KPs and also focused on the struggle and situation of the Temples and Shrines of Kashmir’’, he added.
He said attention was invited to the human rights issues of the minority communities in the J&K and details in context of the continuous efforts of PK at NHRC, UN, UNHRC, SHRC and other important levels were also shared with the delegates of the conference.
Virender Raina, Charman, PAC said that the enormous struggle of P K has created a dedicated and committed cadre throughout and it is our bounden duty to pass on the baton of the struggle to the younger generation to carry forward the struggle in exile. In this connection, Pannun Kashmir is organizing a brain-storming workshop at Jammu to interact with the youth and the activists of the Daughters of P K by the end of the current year.
