The countries of the world are getting closer to one another especially in matters of global growth and world economy. It is worth noting that the Executive Heads of the three most important countries of the world, India, Russia and China held a trilateral meeting recently in Buenos Aires after a gap of 12 long years . This meeting assuming much importance,took place on the sidelines of the G-20 summit to discuss cooperation in various areas.
Prime Minister NarendraModi felt satisfied on the outcome of the RIC or Russia, India and China – trilateral meet terming it as “Excellent meeting” and said that President Putin , President Xi Jinping and he discussed a wide range of subjects that would further cement the friendship between the three nations and enhance world peace. Prior to this meeting, PM Modi, his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe and US President Donald Trump held their first trilateral meeting on the margins of the summit.
The success of projecting India by its leadership as an emerging very potential and promising market, as also its fast development on economic front, undoubtedly, is motivating and interesting the international community to get closer to India. On the principle of deriving benefits from one another as a result of global growth, trade and commerce, summits like G-20 play a prominent part as the member countries call the shots in the world in respect of shaping the world economy. The more interaction between the member countries, especially in the context of India making its importance and identity specially felt, the more would the same result in expanding cooperation between India and other countries.
Since India is celebrating its 75th year of independence in the year 2022, PM NarendraModi announced at the closing ceremony of the two day summit that India would host the annual G-20 summit in 2022 which coincides with the historic anniversary year of our independence . Hosting the summit in itself is tantamount to achieving yet another milestone in international diplomacy by India which is definitely going to earn a special niche for it in international relations and friendship for mutual benefit for India.
