JAMMU, July 2: Maintaining that restoration of normalcy and weeding out of terrorism from the State is main concern of VHP, its senior leaders today said that this was the reason that four day long national level meeting of office bearers and Margdarshak Mandal was held in Jammu for the first time in the history of the organization since its formation.
Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) today said that various issues confronting the country and inimical to the national unity and integrity were discussed in its four -day long meeting of Maragdarsahk Mandal and other office bearers here.
Briefing media-persons here, today the working president of VHP, Rajesh Gupta along with office secretary of the organization, Bal Krishan Gupta said the resolutions were passed regarding various issues which included opening of world famous Sharda Shrine presently in PoK to Hindu pilgrims of India, throwing open Ladakh route to Kailash Mansarovar pilgrims, opening of Kargil route for Swami Amarnathji Yatra which is among six ancient routes of holy shrine and presently only two routes are used for pilgrims. The resolutions were passed in this regard, he added.
He said besides starting of Cable Car Project at holy shrine of Amarnath, preservation of Hindu Shrines in J&K were also highlighted in the conference.
He said the resolutions were also passed on abrogation of controversial Article 370 and 35 A, delimitation of Assembly segments in J&K to undo the discrimination to which people of Jammu and Ladakh regions were subjected for decades together, deportation of Rohingyas and Bangladeshis from Jammu region, freeing of Government as well as forest land from encroachers and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Hindus in Valley by instilling a sense of security among them were discussed threadbare in the meet. Through resolutions the Government was also urged to take effective steps to meet the demands of VHP in this regard.
Rajesh Gupta said the Government was also asked to fulfill its commitment on the construction of Ram Temple at Ayodhaya to fulfill the aspirations of millions of Hindus across the globe.
He said VHP is committed to construct the Ram Temple at Ayodhya and there can’t be any compromise on the same.
He expressed the hope that Union Government will take steps in solving all the issues highlighted by VHP in its Jammu conclave.
Naveen Sudan, Prant convener, Bajrang Dal (BD) its co-convener, Kartik and media incharge VHP, Rajesh Bhasin were also present in the press conference.
