JAMMU, July 11: Hockey Jammu and Kashmir convened an emergent meeting, under the chairmanship of its General Secretary, Romal Singh to discuss the recent developments in the Association.
The meeting described the election of Kanta Andotra as president of the Association as illegal and against the Constitution of the Association.
The meeting said, “This is very unfortunate and uncalled for as, when the Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council has already announced the elections of various Sports Associations including Hockey J&K, such self-style bodies are being floated to further damage the cause of sports.”
The members requested the Government to take appropriate action against the self-style bodies to save sports from being politicized.
