Hockey J&K celebrates 100 Years of Indian Hockey

JAMMU, Nov 7: Hockey Jammu and Kashmir, in association with the J&K Sports Council, organized a special programme to mark 100 years of Indian Hockey at KK Hakku Stadium, Jammu. Exhibition matches for men’s and women’s teams were held to commemorate the milestone. The event was graced by Rajeev Sharma as chief guest and Kuldeep Handoo as special guest.
Dr. Taran Singh, General Secretary Hockey J&K, highlighted India’s rich hockey legacy, including eight Olympic golds and the 1975 World Cup and announced that Jammu will host the 2025 Junior Men’s Hockey World Cup Trophy on November 11.
