JAMMU, Apr 10: Hindustan Nirman Dal (HND), Lok Sabha candidate for Jammu-Poonch Constituency, Sushil Sudan today alleged that he was threatened by terrorist organisation Hizbul Mujahidin.
Addressing a press conference here today, Sudan said that four terrorists were killed in Sunderbani area in the year 2018.
“As per news reports the slain terrorists were in Sunderbani to kill a Hindu leader,” he said adding that threat letters were issued to Hindu leaders from time to time to weaken Hindu forces in Jammu region.
He maintained that he had already taken up the matter with the DGP and Union Home Minister but they have done nothing in this regard.
Sudan asserted that on one side the Central Government is spending crores of rupees for the security of separatists while on the other hand it has done nothing for the security of candidates contesting Lok Sabha elections.
He appealed to the Government to provide adequate security to him and his family as his hometown is near the border.
Speaking on the occasion, HND Central Observer, Mahant Rameshwar Dass Tyagi launched a scathing attack on all parties in general and BJP in particular for playing with public sentiments during elections and later leaving the public in lurch after garnering votes.
