HM reviews airports’ security

NEW DELHI, Oct 13:
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today reviewed the security situation on all airports across the country amidst a threat of possible terror attack by Pakistan backed terrorists.
The meeting was attended by Ministers of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju and Hans Raj Ahir, Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju Pusapati, MoS for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha, DG CISF and other officials were also present during the meeting.
During the review meeting, the Minister has ordered to increase the security on all airports and to be more vigilant after intelligence input which suggested possible terror attack or hijack by terrorists. Singh also reviewed the airports that could be converted into international level airports.
As the airports have huge open areas, the installation of solar energy equipment for generating electricity on all airports across the country would be beneficial. Making these areas power saving zone was also discussed during the review meeting. (UNI)
