SRINAGAR : Some posters purportedly on behalf of pro-Pakistan militant outfit Hizbul Mujahideen have appeared in Pulwama asking political workers to stay away from the electioneering in Kashmir or face “dire” consequences.
The posters have appeared a day after more than 70 per cent of voters cast their votes in the first phase of elections to 15 constituencies of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly defying boycott calls by separatists.
Hizb, whose self-styled supreme commander Syed Salahuddin is based in Pakistan, has alleged that the elections were “part of a dirty conspiracy hatched” by government of India. (AGENCIES)
