SRIANGAR, Mar 3 : Police today busted a militant hideout in Tral area of South Kashmir’s Awantipora in Pulwama district.
Police said that upon information of militant hideout in the forest area of Seer in Pastoona, police along with 42 RR of Army and 180 Battalion of CRPF launched a search operation in the area.
“During search, one hideout of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen was busted and subsequently destroyed,” police said, adding that the size of the hideout is approximately 5 feet × 7 feet ×4 feet.
“Incriminating material of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen and other material like utensils, food items etc has been recovered from the hideout,” spokesman said, adding that all the material has been taken into Police custody for investigation purpose.
Police said that a case (FIR number 14/2021 under relevant Sections of law) was registered at Police Station Tral.
